You want a tearless shampoo for bathing, that will be gentle on their skin. We use and recommend Natural Groomer's Hypo Aloegenic shampoo. They sell it by the 16 oz bottle or the gallon, but if you buy a gallon expect it to last for a long time-it is very concentrated and goes a long way!

Grooming must haves! A high quality conditioning spray, a game changing slicker brush, and a metal comb. Spray coat, brush thoroughly with slicker brush all over entire body, and go over whole body again with a comb to make sure you haven’t left any tangles or matting and have gone all the way down to the skin. Though the Chris Christensen slicker brush does cost more than slicker brushes you'll find at Petsmart, I promise you it's worth the investment -- as a groomer I wouldn't use any other slicker for my long haired doodles.

Our puppies are litter trained starting at 3 weeks old until they are old enough to use a doggie door to go outside. We use rabbit cage trays from TSC (Tractor Supply Company) as a litter box, they come in various sizes. For litter we use equine pine pellet stall bedding, also from TSC. This is a great option to set up in a playpen, or outside on a patio/balcony if you live in an apartment.

If you will be using a playpen for your puppy, this one is the best we have tried! We use the 40” tall pen. It's heavy duty compared to most exercise pens and can hold up to a growing puppy. There is plenty of room for a bed, food and water, and litter box.

If you are kennel training your puppy, we recommend a 48” wire crate for all of our standard size doodles. They come with a divider to make it smaller if you want as the puppy grows.

**Please ask us what your puppy is currently being fed before purchasing**. Majority of the time we feed our large breed puppies Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy food, and mini/medium sized puppies Diamond Naturals Small Breed Puppy. You can find it at TSC (Tractor Supply Company) in store or online. We provide a small bag of food at pick up, if you do not want to continue feeding this food it will be enough to mix and transition over to the food of your choice.
