You want a tearless shampoo for bathing, that will be gentle on their skin. We use and recommend Natural Groomer's Hypo Aloegenic shampoo. They sell it by the 16 oz bottle or the gallon, but if you buy a gallon expect it to last for a long time-it is very concentrated and goes a long way!

Grooming must haves! A high quality conditioning spray, a game changing slicker brush, and a metal comb. Spray coat, brush thoroughly with slicker brush all over entire body, and go over whole body again with a comb to make sure you haven’t left any tangles or matting and have gone all the way down to the skin. Though the Chris Christensen slicker brush does cost more than slicker brushes you'll find at Petsmart, I promise you it's worth the investment -- as a groomer I wouldn't use any other slicker for my long haired doodles.

If you are going to be bathing your pup at home, you will need a force dryer to dry them. A regular hair dryer won’t cut it. This dryer is a little pricier then some others, but we use these daily in our grooming shop and they are very good and durable. We highly recommend them!

Our puppies are litter trained starting at 3 weeks old. If you wish to continue using a litter box, there are several options available. We use replacement trays and grates for cage banks as our litter boxes. For litter we use equine pine pellet stall bedding, also from TSC. This is a great option to set up in a playpen, or outside on a patio/balcony if you live in an apartment.

If you will be using a playpen for your puppy, these are some the best we have tried! If choosing the wire pen, we use the 40” tall pen. It's heavy duty compared to most exercise pens and can hold up to a growing puppy. There is plenty of room for a bed, food and water, and litter box. Another fun option is to purchase a play yard or play pen made for babies/toddlers. You can find some very nice used ones on Facebook marketplace! Or brand new on various websites online.

If you are kennel training your puppy, we recommend a 48” wire crate for all of our standard size doodles. For mini or medium sized puppies we recommend a 32" or 36" crate. They come with a divider to make it smaller if you want as the puppy grows.

Our puppies are fed science diet puppy food, chicken and brown rice formula. You can find it at TSC (Tractor Supply Company), most vet clinics & major pet stores (Petsmart, Petco, etc). We provide a small bag of food at pick up, if you do not want to continue feeding this food it will be enough to mix and transition over to the food of your choice.
We use and recommend Kuranda beds! They are extremely durable and easy to clean. They combine soft, off the floor comfort with a chew proof design. We use the beds with aluminum frames. Dogs love them and they also make a great training tool for commands such as "place." To view products and order, click here.
